Registration

  • Fee is for one person. You can add tickets for additional guests. This ticket covers reunion registration only and does not include off-site excursions or hotel lodging. This registration is to access the CP (command post) amenities and reunion cost.

If you are staying in San Antonio, please-please consider staying at our hotel. More numbers help reduce our fee costs for things like the hospitality rooms, other fees, and banquet room.


HOTEL RESERVATIONS (separate from reunion registration fee):

To make your reservation online, use the special link below. Scroll down, enter your arrival/departure dates (Sep 11-15) and it will automatically populate rate preference "Group Rate, Travel Agent". That indicates it is giving you the reunion group rate (PAR).

To make your reservation by phone, call the 24-hour reservation number at: (210) 224-2500, option 2. Provide the Group Block Code: PAR and let them know you are part of the 509 Paratroopers Reunion group.


Check-in Begins: 4:00 PM

Check-out By: 11:00 AM

     Room rates are:

          $144 per night (includes $20 breakfast voucher each morning of lodging)

               *Addition tax fee per day is 16.75% plus 1.25%.


The Holiday Inn “Kids Eat Free” promotion is not applicable to groups.


Be sure to ask the hotel about self-parking cost and let them know you are part of the 509 Paratroopers Reunion - they do have parking fees!

Reservations received after August 27th, 2024 will be provided on a space available basis at the hotel's current selling rates!


PLANNED AGENDA:


     The “Command Post” (CP) provides a full-sized meeting room to relax, visit, and just hang out with friends. It also includes complimentary snacks, beverages (e.g., sodas, regular/decaf coffee, hot water f/tea, etc.), and alcohol (21 and older)!


The costs of these things are included in your registration fee. Please tip your volunteer bartender at "The Drop Zone" bar inside the CP!


     Ensure that you register/pay for additional attendees that want to access the CP and/or join the banquet dinner on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY – September 11th, The CP (Bolero hospitality room)

  • First day of CHECK-IN!
  • Check with front desk for breakfast hours of operation.
  • 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.

THURSDAY – September 12th, The CP (Tango 1 hospitality room)

  • Check with front desk for breakfast hours of operation.
  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.
  • Off-site Event - time & cost TBD. Not sure if we will have one.

FRIDAY – September 13th, The CP (Tango 1 hospitality room)

  • Check with front desk for breakfast hours of operation.
  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.
  • Noon/12:00 PM, FREE pizza lunch in the CP!

SATURDAY – September 14th, The CP (Tango 1 hospitality room)

  • Check with front desk for breakfast hours of operation.
  • 9:00 AM, The CP opens (officially).
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Membership Board Meeting is called to order. Normal CP amenities and bar will be closed during the meeting. Following the membership meeting, the CP will be available for a short time before the banquet preparation. 
  • The dinner banquet will be held in Tango 2 hospitality room!
  • 5:45 PM, The dinner banquet reception begins. Preferred attire: “business casual”, appropriate military uniform, or anything more formal. There will be a cash bar (hotel operated) until 8:30 PM (during dinner).
  • 6:45 PM, Posting of Colors
  • National Anthem
  • Invocation
  • Toasts
  • 7:00 PM, Dinner
    • DINNER MENU:
      • Chicken Picatta, lightly breaded boneless breast of chicken, topped with a lemon caper butter sauce.
      • All dinners include Riverwalk Tossed Salad, chefs selected starch, vegetable, dessert, and warm rolls with butter rosettes.
      • Also includes iced tea, ice water, and regular or decaffeinated coffee. Other beverages may be available for a fee.
  • Guest Speaker
  • Retirement of the Colors
  • Our normal CP bar will re-open after the Colors are retired.
  • Following dinner, we will conduct a 50/50 raffle and then auction all the donated items!  If you have any auction items to donate, please bring them or contact: abn509thassoc@yahoo.com for instructions on where to send anything.
  • The 509th CP bar (The Drop Zone) will re-open after dinner.
  • A DJ will be onsite to host music and dancing after the raffle and auction!
  • 11:00 PM, Hospitality room closes down.

SUNDAY – 15th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • CHECK-OUT Day!
  • Check with front desk for breakfast hours of operation.
  • Have a safe trip home!
